RVA on Ice - 100 N 17th St, Richmond, VA 23219
Every year, the city of Richmond sets up a public ice skating rink in the heart of the historic Shokoe Bottom Neighborhood, known as RVA on Ice. Open every day of the week with extended hours on the weekends, RVA on Ice is a great opportunity to enjoy open-air skating with a beautiful view of the city. The rink is generally available from late November through mid-February and is held in conjunction with the 17th Street Market, which is one of the oldest public markets in America.
Richmond Ice Zone - 636 Johnston Willis Dr, North Chesterfield, VA 23236
Programs for skaters of all skill and experience levels are available at Richmond Ice Zone, one of the city's premier skating facilities. Richmond Ice Zone features a full NHL regulation-sized ice rink and frequently hosts birthday parties, skating lessons, local hockey leagues, and other events. The ice is also available for public open skating several days a week. Richmond Ice Zone is located in Chesterfield, less than 20 minutes from Downtown Richmond and a stone's throw from these Chesterfield homes for sale. The facility also features an onsite cafe, arcade games, and laser tag.
SkateNation Plus - 4350 Pouncey Tract Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060
Owned by the same company that operates Richmond Ice Zone, SkateNation Plus is a similar facility located just northwest of the city in Glen Allen. SkateNation Plus features a regulation NHL-sized rink and hosts public ice skating sessions as well as skating lessons, youth hockey leagues and clinics and a wide range of other activities. A full arcade and laser tag arena are located inside, making this an especially popular place to host birthday parties near these Glen Allen homes for sale.
Stony Point Ice Rink - 9200 Stony Point Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23235
Shoppers all over the Richmond area know Stony Point Fashion Park as one of the premier shopping malls in the city. But it's also a great place to skate in wintertime, as the mall opens up the Stony Point Ice Rink for the season. Public skating sessions are available throughout the season, which typically begins in November and ends in January. Located just minutes from many Richmond homes for sale, the ice rink at Stony Point Fashion Park is a great place to bring kids for a fun day on the ice. Skate rentals are available.
Southampton Recreation Association - 3201 Chellowe Rd, Richmond, VA 23225
Since it was first established in 1950, the Southampton Recreation Association (SRA) has been one of the top destinations for year-round family fun in the Richmond area. In addition to outstanding amenities that include four swimming pools and nine tennis courts, the Southampton Recreation Association also includes a fully enclosed ice skating rink that operates all year long. A variety of membership packages are available, including an annual "Ice Only" membership for families who only want to skate.
