- Richmond Ballet - The Nutcracker - 600 E Grace St, Richmond, VA 23219
The Nutcracker is a holiday classic, and you'll have several opportunities to take in a magical performance. This new production of the Nutcracker with the Richmond Ballet is directed by Stoner Winslett and will feature the original Tchaikovsky score performed by the Richmond Symphony. Seventeen performances take place across multiple nights from December 8 through 24.

The Jefferson Hotel was first opened in 1895, and this luxurious beaux-arts style hotel is known as one of Richmond's most unique and spectacular architectural landmarks. Every year, the hotel hosts Holidays at the Jefferson, during which the space will be adorned in thousands of lights, hundreds of live poinsettias and more than a dozen decorated trees, including a 30-foot Christmas tree in the Rotunda. Reservations are also available for holiday dining at the on-site Lemaire Restaurant for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

If you're looking for some festive fun with friends this holiday season, head to James River Cellars on December 16 for Holiday Trivia from 3 pm to 5 pm. The touring Broadway production of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical arrives in Richmond this holiday season, and you don't want to miss it! This modern reimagining of the Dr. Seuss classic will be performed over the course of multiple nights from December 12 through 17 at the spectacular Altria Theater, the largest venue of Richmond CenterStage's performing arts complex.

The annual Sip & Shop Holiday Vendors Market returns to Richmond once again this holiday season, providing some great opportunities to shop local. You'll find something for everyone on your list at the market (and maybe a little something for yourself), which is held at Stony Point Fashion Park every weekend from Black Friday to Christmas Eve.
